A 12-year-old boy in Australia is in critical condition after being bitten by a shark while he was swimming in Sydney Harbour. The incident happened on January 18 at Shark Beach in Vaucluse, a popular swimming spot. Despite the name, shark attacks at this beach are very uncommon.
The boy was swimming with friends after jumping from a rock ledge. He was badly injured on both legs and is now in intensive care. Police said his friends acted quickly and pulled him out of the water, before help arrived.
