According to CBS News, Usha Vance, wife of Vice President JD Vance, once told him, "Therapy didn't work for you; church does," which is the comment he referred to in his upcoming book ‘Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.’

"It's not that therapy doesn't work for other people, but JD just didn't have the right kind of trust in that process," she said. JD Vance agreed, further saying that church works better for him because it provides not only faith, but also the stability that comes from the organized nature of religion.
