The Trump administration has suspended the use of military aircraft for deporting migrants due to high costs and inefficiencies, defense officials told The Wall Street Journal. The last flight took place on March 1, and no additional flights are planned at this time, officials confirmed.

Military flights were originally introduced as part of President Donald Trump's strict immigration policies, aimed at reinforcing the administration’s tough stance on illegal immigration.

Border security has been a key issue in recent months, with President Trump repeatedly expressing concerns about illegal crossings and fentanyl trafficking from Canada into the US. However, in the cases highlighted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the crossings were happening in the opposite direction: into Canada.

With so many of Trump’s policies focusing on immigration, many are asking what impact these measures will have on the US economy. To find out more, click through the following gallery.
