We live in a digital world, and while biometric passwords are slowly taking over typed ones, we all still use typed passwords. There are several recommendations when it comes to creating strong passwords, including the number and type of characters used, but millions of people still use some of the most basic passwords out there, which exposes them to the risk of being hacked.
Cyber security and password manager company NordPass, in collaboration with NordStellar, analyzed the password habits around the world for 2024. In total, a 2.5TB database was extracted from various publicly available sources and analyzed. Here are the results for 30 countries. Click on.
