A new study by Stanford University, published August 26, found that entry-level jobs for workers between the ages of 22 and 25 have declined by 13% since companies started using generative artificial intelligence.

Jobs like software developers, customer service representatives, computer programmers, and receptionists are especially at risk since the use of AI is replacing people who have “book knowledge” but have not yet gained experience. The authors are confident AI will not replace soft skills and years of practical knowledge, but its impact on recent graduates and those without college educations is already significant.
