During his two terms as the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton presided over the longest economic expansion in US history, during which more than 22 million jobs were created in less than eight years. However, his presidency was also marked by controversy, most notably a highly publicized affair with a White House intern that made international headlines. Clinton left office in 2001, but remains very much in the public eye.
