Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, the longtime nanny to the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has been awarded the Silver Royal Victorian Medal for her service to the family. The honor was presented on March 24 during an investiture ceremony in Windsor, led by Prince William himself.

Borrallo has worked with the family for over a decade, joining when Prince George was just eight months old, and has remained a constant presence as Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were born and raised.

The Royal Victorian Medal is awarded at the discretion of King Charles III for personal service to the monarchy. Borrallo, who trained at the prestigious Norland College, is part of a select group of nannies known for their rigorous preparation, which includes training in security.

Norland College, based in Bath, Somerset, is the world’s oldest and most prestigious nanny training school.
