In his second term, Donald Trump has launched some of the most ambitious changes the White House has ever seen, and they're only just beginning. In September 2025, construction will start on a US$200 million, privately-funded expansion of the East Wing, which will include a 650-person capacity state ballroom. Completion is expected by 2029, and public tours will be suspended during the work.
