Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that primarily affects movement, causing symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, slowness, and imbalance. It occurs due to the loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain, and while it is often associated with older age, it can also develop earlier in life.

Luckily, however, some films and TV shows accurately depict what it is like to live with the disease. Click on to find out more.
