MOVIES Hollywood memorabilia
Have you ever watched a movie that you loved so much that you wanted to hold it in your hands and keep it forever? Well, for some people that urge was very strong—thousands and thousands of dollars strong.
A fresh and enormous selection of movie memorabilia is going up for auction in London in November by film and television memorabilia company Prop Store. The collection of 1,000 lots includes Marty McFly’s hoverboard in 'Back to the Future Part II,' to a Stormtrooper Helmet worn in 'Return of the Jedi,' a full-size T-800 Endoskeleton from 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day,' Sean Connery’s James Bond suit from 'You Only Live Twice,' a Stormtrooper helmet from 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi,' the Wilson volleyball from 'Cast Away,' costumes from 'Elf,' 'Spider-Man,' 'Blade Runner,' and more. The collection is expected to fetch more than $7.5-million, the Globe and Mail reports.
But that's not even close to the highest bidders' prices on other memorabilia! Check out this gallery to see what other pieces of your favorite movies were sold for the most obscene amounts of money, based on a list compiled by BroBible which includes the buyer's premium.
