Disney movies often make us nostalgic, whether you're seeing them for the second time round or the hundredth time. In recent years, Disney is on a roll with their live-action remakes, and they're showing no signs of stopping!
Halle Bailey has officially wrapped filming on Disney's live-action version of 'The Little Mermaid,' and the singer and actress shared an early photo of herself as the titular princess on Instagram on July 12 to mark the occasion. She also opened up about the challenging experience of playing Ariel, and revealed that life isn't always better down where it's wetter. "It has been the toughest experience being away from everything and everyone i’ve ever known, to feeling self doubt/ loneliness, but also feeling such freedom and perseverance as i’ve reached the end," she wrote. "This experience has made me so much stronger than i ever thought i could be."
The 21-year-old also expressed her gratitude for all her fellow castmembers, including Jonah Hauer-King (Prince Eric), Jacob Tremblay (Flounder), Javier Bardem (King Triton), Melissa McCarthy, (Ursula), Awkwafina (Scuttle), and Daveed Diggs (Sebastian). "I cannot wait for time to speed up so you all can watch this film because it was made with so much love (plus blood sweat and tears)," Bailey wrote.
