Australian horror film 'Together' (2025), starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, has been digitally altered to change a scene to make a same-sex couple look like a straight one for China audiences. The Chinese distributor, Hishow, has been facing backlash after it was made public that several scenes had been modified without consent.
Some of the most celebrated and accomplished films ever made have been subject to censorship. Reasons for their suppression vary.
