On Thursday, August 5, it was confirmed that Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan had passed away. He would have celebrated his 34th birthday on August 5, but sources suggest he didn't live to see the day. He had a number of drugs in his system, including fentanyl, and his cause of death was ruled to be an accidental drug overdose. Quan was one of the most influential modern rappers on the Atlanta scene and was best known for his 2013 hit 'Type of Way.'

Sinéad O'Connor, the Irish singer renowned for her chart-topping song 'Nothing Compares 2 U,' tragically passed away at the age of 56 on July 26, 2023. Authorities discovered O'Connor unresponsive at her home in London and were unable to resuscitate her. Speculation about her cause of death was widespread as the singer had openly battled severe mental health problems following the tragic loss of her 17-year-old son in 2022. Many expected the coroner's report to find that she took her own life. However, a year after her death, it was revealed that she died from a combination of pulmonary disease and asthma.

In the late '90s, Aaron rose to prominence as a pop singer, capturing the attention of audiences with four studio albums. Throughout his career, Carter had been candid about his battles with addiction and mental health, as well as his experiences in rehab. Like many other celebrities, Carter accidentally drowned in his bathtub with drugs in his system.

The 33-year-old rapper was struck several times in the head and chest, resulting in his untimely death. Shortly after the incident, a man named Eric Holder was apprehended and later charged with the murder.
