Walt Disney Pictures announced on January 7 that its live-action remake of 'Tangled' will star Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider and Teagan Croft as Rapunzel. Manheim is best known for starring in the Disney Channel 'Zombies' films, while Croft is most famous for appearing in the HBO Max superhero series 'Titans.'
The original 2010 animated movie, which earned over US$590 million worldwide, tells the story of Rapunzel, a princess with magical long hair who is kept in a tower. Her life changes when she meets Flynn Rider, a wanted thief.
Disney has not yet announced a release date for the live-action film. But the question remains: do fans and critics tend to prefer the Disney classic, or the live-action remake? Do the new films elevate the classics, or do they erase their charm? Click on to find out.
