A feminist twist - The show will reportedly feature a group of famous fairy-tale princesses as they gather for their book club to read, yet again, from Grimm's Fairy Tales, except this time Cinderella makes a desperate wish for a new story and “a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique in her corseted lap."

Oops, she did it again - You can't stop the Princess of Pop! “I'm so excited to have a musical with my songs – especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore,” she said in a statement. “This is a dream come true for me!”

Deep cuts -

The musical will reportedly use 23 songs, some of which are deep album cuts, and it will reframe classic princesses in modern ideas, waves of feminism, exploring how stories and norms are passed down to us.

Michael Jackson, 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' - The musical gives a behind the scenes look at the 1992 Dangerous World Tour, featuring 25 of Jackson's hits. The Go-Go's, 'Head Over Heels' - The musical features the iconic songs of the most successful female rock band perhaps of all time: The Go-Go’s. It has a Shakespearean plot full of scandal, romance, mistaken identity, and jealous lovers.

Cher, 'The Cher Show' - Broadway believes in life after love! The musical features 35 of her hits, spans six decades of her career, and boasts "enough Bob Mackie gowns to cause a sequins shortage in New York City."

Green Day, 'American Idiot' - The angst-filled rock band surprised everyone when they turned their 2004 album 'American Idiot' into a musical in 2010. It even earned a Tony nomination for Best Musical, with its tale of disaffected youth fleeing a stuffy suburban lifestyle in pursuit of their dreams.

Billy Joel, 'Movin' Out' - Conceived by Twyla Tharp, this musical spins upon the music of Billy Joel, with the actors dancing rather than singing. It tells the story of Long Island teenagers in the '60s grappling with the Vietnam War, and Joel even won a Tony for Best Orchestration.

John Lennon, 'Lennon' - 'Lennon' is a unique musical, because  writer Don Scardino made the choice to almost exclusively base the text on Lennon's own words. Of course, all the music is his own, from his solo career, and interestingly the role of Lennon is played by performers of different sexes, ages, and skin colors.

Claude François, 'Belles belles belles' -

The first French jukebox musical takes its music from famous pop singer Claude François, or CloClo, who died age 39 by accidental electrocution. It premiered in 2003 and is named after his first hit.
