Demi Lovato has canceled several upcoming tour dates due to unspecified health concerns.
In a message shared on Instagram on February 10, the singer told fans she was looking forward to getting back on stage for her upcoming It’s Not That Deep tour, but realized she had taken on more than she could manage. “My Lovatics—I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can,” she wrote, adding that while preparing for the tour, she recognized she had overextended herself.
Lovato explained that in order to protect her health and give her best at every show, she needs more time for rest and rehearsals. She said that adjusting the schedule will help her handle the full run of the tour.
Indeed, world-famous musicians aren’t immune to the physical toll of life in the spotlight. Like Lovato, many artists have been forced to cancel shows in recent years due to health concerns and the physical toll of life on the road.
