In 2014, CeeLo Green was accused of sexual assault by a woman who woke up naked next to him, allegedly without remembering anything. No sexual assault charges were brought for lack of evidence, however, he pleaded no contest to having given her ecstasy. The artist then took to Twitter to post comments implying that sexual assault doesn't count if a victim can't remember.

After years of success, a number of women accused Adams of sexual harassment and manipulative behavior, including his ex-wife, Mandy Moore. He canceled his tour of Britain and Ireland two weeks after the allegations surfaced.

Back in 2021, rapper DaBaby faced widespread criticism from celebrities and activists for his homophobic and HIV/AIDS stigma-filled rant during a concert. He ended up apologizing for his statements.

Robin Thicke -

Who can forget his raunchy performance with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 VMAs? Already a constant subject of rumors, things got bad after a photo was released of him with his hand on a fan's behind. On top of that, his hit song 'Blurred Lines' was heavily criticized for its nonconsensual lyrics. And if that wasn't enough, Thicke and Pharrell Williams were sued for plagiarism.

In 2022, the rapper was convicted of three felony charges related to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. In 2023, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Australian rapper's debut studio album 'The New Classic' peaked in the charts in 2014. But then she went on a hiatus, and never fully recovered her mainstream popularity.

Miguel -

In 2013, the artist misjudged a jump between the stage and another platform while performing at the Billboard Music Awards. Miguel accidentally leg dropped a fan, who sued two years later. His popularity has plummeted ever since.

Kris Wu -

In 2021, Canadian Chinese singer Kris Wu was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old two years prior. He denied the allegations, but was arrested by Beijing police and ultimately sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Trey Songz -

The artist has a long history of being accused of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as sexual intimidation, by Keke Palmer. But these cases seemed to largely be ignored until 2022, when three more sexual assault allegations followed. It seems unlikely Songz's career will recover anytime soon.

The rapper was once on the top of the hip-hop music scene in the early aughts, but he hasn't kept up his fame. In 2013, he even decided to experiment with country music. Then, in the latter half of the decade, he was accused of sexual assault by several women.

Sonic Youth -

In 2011, the band's iconic couple, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, got divorced due to Moore's affair with editor Eva Prinz. The band, together since 1981, eventually split up, with many fans blaming Moore.

R. Kelly -

R. Kelly has been dogged by sexual abuse allegations for a long time, but it only caught up to him in 2017. That's when he was accused of abusing one of his ex-girlfriends and sexually assaulting other women. Then in 2019, the miniseries 'Surviving R. Kelly' covered the investigation into the allegations. In 2022, Kelly was sentenced to serve 31 years imprisonment.

The Orwells -

In 2018, a Reddit post accused several band members of sexual misconduct against their fans. The Orwells denied the allegations, but the band officially split shortly after. They reunited in 2023 without guitarist Matt O’Keefe.

Mary J. Blige -

In 2012, footage was leaked from a Burger King advertisement the singer took part in. She could be seen singing passionately about fried chicken, which got immediate backlash. The footage allegedly exploited the stereotype surrounding African Americans and fried chicken, and many people found it offensive. Blige apologized profusely.

In 2016, the rapper stated that the Earth was flat because he couldn't see a curve on the horizon with his naked eye. His belief in conspiracy theories has been very controversial.

Jesse Lacey -

Lacey's band, Brand New, reunited and released a successful album in 2007. A few months later, several women accused him of sexual misconduct. The band's tour was canceled shortly after.

In 2023, a woman filed a lawsuit claiming that the Backtreet Boy singer sexually assaulted her multiple times in 2003, when she was 15-years-old. He was also sued by another woman for sexual battery, an alleged incident from 2001.

Apart from Brown's domestic violence incident with Rihanna, he has had other run-ins with the law and accusations of assault since 2009.

In 2018, the Brockhampton's member was accused of sexual misconduct, which led to him being kicked out of the group. He released a solo album in 2019, but it wasn't well received.

Marilyn Manson -

Things took a major turn for Marilyn Manson in 2021 when his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood accused him of sexual assault and abuse. Other women quickly came forward with their own allegations against Manson. The singer's label and agency dropped him.

Kodak Black -

The rapper has a long history with breaking the law. In 2019, he lied about his criminal history in a document and was locked up again. However, his sentence was commuted by former President Donald Trump in 2021.

In 2018, the drummer from the Icelandic band Sigur Rós was accused of sexual assault by a fan on Instagram. Dýrason denied the allegations, and quickly left the band.

In 2018, the violinist left Dave Matthews Band following allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and long-term grooming.

Sticky Fingers -

In 2013, the Australian band's vocalist, Dylan Frost, allegedly spat on and threatened Indigenous singer Thelma Plum in a pub in Sydney. Believed to have been racially motivated, Frost blamed it on mental health problems and alcohol, but the band went on a hiatus. Sticky Fingers did return in 2018, but things have never been the same for them.
