In March 2026, King Charles III inaugurated the world's longest coastal footpath: the King Charles III England Coast Path. Extending for
2,689 miles (4,328 km), the trail follows the entire coastline of England, a circuit that encompasses some of Britain's most picturesque and compelling coastal landscapes.
The path is divided into eight sections, with each showcasing unique aspects of the environment and the many coastal towns, cities, and villages that have shaped the nation over centuries.
Accessible year round weather permitting, this magnificent trail unlocks some areas of the English coastline for the fist time and is set to encourage more people to venture outdoors and embrace nature while improving their physical and mental well-being.
This gallery explores some of the highlights found along the sections of the path, including historic cultural attractions and beautiful natural wonders. Pull on your hiking boots and start walking!
