Tourism is truly one of the largest and most powerful industries on the planet. Indeed, it generates nearly 10% of the entire world’s economic output, accounting for roughly US$11.6 trillion. Tourists are all over the place, so it should be no surprise that there are some nations with a reputation for being great (or terrible) visitors.
In 2025, a survey was conducted by Safari Bookings on more than 400 African safari operators to determine which tourists were the most and least loved. And while the results are not necessarily applicable worldwide, this certainly is the impression that Africans have!
