The seven churches of the Revelation refer to the seven congregations mentioned in the Book of Revelation, part of the New Testament. According to John the Apostle, these seven churches received letters from Jesus with blessings—and warnings—pronounced upon them.
To many, these messages serve as a profound spiritual assessment and teach universal, practical lessons about spiritual health—and warnings against complacency and compromise. It's why the sites of these churches, located across western Turkey, are revered today by Christians as pilgrimage sites.
In this gallery, we travel to each location and reveal the messages said to have been sent by Christ to each. Click on to continue reading.
