The Pennine Way is one of Britain's best known and toughest long-distance footpaths. The trail stretches a daunting 431 km (268 mi) from the Derbyshire Peak District in England to end just inside the Scottish border. Along the way, the route snakes through some of the most spectacular scenery in the United Kingdom, and passes several quaint and attractive towns and villages. It's a challenge few outdoor adventure enthusiasts can pass up. Are you one of them?
