Escalators are convenient, and sometimes essential, parts of urban infrastructure. There are a few around the world that are particularly impressive when it comes to length. But what counts as a long escalator?
For the purpose of this gallery, we selected escalators that are at least 190 feet (57.9 meters) in length. Only single, individual escalators have been considered, so multi-escalator systems like the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators in Hong Kong are not included.
