Sometimes the weekend comes around and all you want to do is move from the bed to the couch in your comfiest pajamas and lie around all day. On days like these, nothing beats rewatching a favorite show, like 'Friends' or 'The Office.' There's something comforting about being gently entertained by a show you're familiar with. There are no surprises, which creates a sense of safety and gives the brain a break from processing new information. There's also research to suggest that nostalgia has a healing effect, particularly when the present moment is filled with stress and uncertainty.
