CELEBRITY Loss

Losing a child is an unbearable nightmare that no one should have to go through. It goes against the natural order of things and hurts so much more because of it. Sadly, however, there are many people whose worst nightmare became a reality, as is the case of these stars who lost their children.

Tina Turner is grieving the loss of her youngest biological son, Ronnie Turner, who died at the age of 62 due to complications from colon cancer, Page Six reports. The 83-year-old music legend shared a black-and-white portrait of herself in mourning on Instagram and wrote, "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow, I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.”

Ronnie's wife, French singer Afida Turner, was the first to confirm the news of his death on Instagram, calling him “a true angel” and her “best friend,” and adding, "This is a tragedy u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in paradise [sic]." She is of course referring to Tina's other biological son Craig who took his own life in 2018 at the age of 59, as well as his father Ike, who died in 2007, and Tina's sister Alline Bullock, who died in 2010.
