Returning as king -

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022, Charles and Camilla returned to London to greet crowds of mourners, this time as King Charles III and Queen Consort.

The coronation -

The coronation ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023. Charles was officially crowned King of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Realms. Following the coronation, it was announced that Camilla would simply be addressed as Queen Camilla, rather than Queen Consort.

Cancer diagnosis -

King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024, a diagnosis that came as a shock less than 18 months into his reign. Buckingham Palace has not specified the type of cancer he is battling. After undergoing treatment and recovery, he resumed his public duties in April 2024.
