In his '60 Minutes' interview, Prince Harry took aim at his stepmother, Queen Consort Camilla, accusing her of leaking damning stories about him and other royals to the press in order to redeem her reputation and improve her own image after it came out that King Charles had been having an affair with her during his marriage to Princess Diana. Cooper highlights that Prince Harry writes in the book that Camilla “sacrificed me on her personal PR alter.”

Cooper also brought up the disturbing article published in British tabloid The Sun in which TV host Jeremy Clarkson writes that he dreamed of Meghan being paraded naked through the streets of Britain while people threw excrement at her. The palace notably did not respond to the offensive piece, which Harry claims was a pointed choice since the palace had their fingers in many outlets. “There comes a point when silence is betrayal,” Harry said.

Prince Harry also had an interview on ITV with Tom Bradby, where he maintained focus on the “briefings, leakings, and plantings,” that take place between royals and the British press, further vilifying them for spinning harmful narratives that have put Harry, Meghan, and their children at risk. Harry also spoke on his difficult relationship and heir/spare rivalry with his older brother William, sharing a story of how William took issue with Harry's beard for his 2018 wedding despite the fact that the late Queen had granted him permission to keep it.

From racism to serious mental health concerns, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held little back—and we admit, it made for great TV. 'Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special' was even been nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Hosted Non-fiction Series Or Special, alongside shows including David Letterman's 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,' 'United Shades of America W. Kamau Bell,' 'VICE,' and 'Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.' They may not be senior royals anymore, but now they're Emmy-nominated stars.

Markle told Oprah Winfrey that following racist attacks by the media, she "didn’t want to be alive anymore," so she went to a senior aide for help, but was discouraged from seeking mental health support by “the institution” because it would not be a good look for the Royal family. Harry added, “There was an opportunity, many opportunities, for my family to show support... No one from my family said anything.”

She could tell that I was hurting and that some of the stuff that was out of my control was making me really angry," he said. "Once I started doing therapy, it was like the bubble was burst."
