Star students who went to boarding school
In high society, they're more common than you'd think
© Getty Images
Education is everything in our former years. The peers that we surround ourselves with and the educators that teach us will determine, in many ways, who we will become. Boarding schools, in some cultures, were somewhere a naughty, misbehaving child was sent away to become disciplined. However, this is a very narrow way of interpreting what boarding schools are about. The parents of these star students understood that.
Some of these famous pupils went to the most prestigious boarding schools in the world. For example, actor Damian Lewis boarded at Eton College, which also hosted royal children and the likes of George Orwell and Boris Johnson.
