The lives of the rich and famous are glossed over one headline at a time, but there are some mistakes they can't erase.
Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III—the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft—was involved in a serious car accident in Las Vegas in the early hours of November 2 which left a 23-year-old woman dead. According to TMZ, the 22-year-old athlete was traveling at "a high rate of speed" before he veered into the right lane of a three-lane road and slammed into the back of the Toyota, which trapped the other driver in her seat so she was unable to escape as flames engulfed her car.
Ruggs, who had non-life-threatening injuries, has been hit with two felony charges for DUI with serious bodily harm and reckless driving resulting in death, the first of which carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years, and the second between one to six years in prison if convicted. Ruggs has also since been released by the Raiders.
