On November 22, 1997, the renowned lead singer of INXS was discovered deceased in a Sydney hotel room. The coroner determined that a combination of drugs and alcohol was present in his system, concluding that he had intentionally ended his life. Nevertheless, his girlfriend and others speculated that Hutchence may have tragically died from "auto-erotic asphyxia."
