On December 18, former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and family members died in a plane crash during an attempted landing in Statesville, North Carolina.
Biffle, 55, was traveling with his wife, Cristina Gusso, their five-year-old son, Ryder, and 14-year-old Emma, the daughter he shared with his ex-wife Nicole Lunders. There were three other passengers on board the aircraft who also died in the accident.
