You’ve probably heard of the Met Gala, the fashion event of the year—but have you heard of the Pet Gala?
Just as the Met Gala happens every May, so does its animal homage, where Anthony Rubio, an internationally acclaimed pet couturier and women's wear designer, creates custom pet outfits based on his favorite Met looks. And all the money raised goes to the AKC Museum of the Dog.
This year, pups strutted their stuff down the catwalk in Bryant Park on May 19, wearing pooch-sized recreations of the 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style' theme.
