Former US President Joe Biden, 82, has undergone surgery to remove skin cancer, his spokeswoman confirmed on September 4. Biden recently had Mohs surgery, a procedure that cuts away thin layers of skin until no cancer cells remain.
Biden was seen with a wound on the right side of his head in recent days. The former president has a history of skin cancers, with several removed before his presidency. In 2023, doctors also took out a cancerous lesion from his chest, and in May of this year he was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.
