If you've ever suffered a sudden onset of dizziness, or the vision in one eye is quickly distorted or blurred, you may have experienced what's known as a

transient ischemic attack (TIA), or ministroke. And there are other indicators that might suggest the onset of an event of this kind. A TIA doesn't cause permanent damage to the brain, but it does serve as a warning that you may be predisposed to a more serious stroke. So, how dangerous is a ministroke, what are the telltale symptoms, and why does a person suffer one?

Click through this gallery for a complete diagnosis and learn of ways to prevent the onset of a TIA.
