This makeup artist turns dark circles into sunsets
Now this is a look
Evelyn Chavez, a 19-year-old student at California State University of Los Angeles, took to social media to share a makeup look that recreates a sunset. Her eyelids have a mix of orange and yellow shadow to be the sun, while below her eyes is a mix of blue and gold.
"I believe that people shouldn't be afraid to wear dramatic makeup looks in public," Chavez told Teen Vogue. Social media makeup artists have huge followings online. While some teach you how to do the perfect smokey eye, others opt for turning their face into a literal canvas.
Want to recreate the look? According to her caption, Chavez used palettes 39A and 35B from the brand Morphe, as well as BH Cosmetics's "Take Me Back to Brazil" palette, and then topped it off with NYX Liquid Crystal Body Liner in Crystal Gold. For her lipstick, the makeup artist used the same blue and orange shadow she used on her eyes and sealed everything with a swipe of Essence Shine Shine Shine lip gloss in 01 Behind the Scenes.
