Her Majesty mourns the death of her pet corgi, Vulcan

She's loved them since she was a child, and they've accompanied her through much of her reign as queen. We're speaking, of course, of Queen Elizabeth's beloved corgis.
Word has gotten around that she even assigns her dogs their own footmen, and chefs at Buckingham Palace make them a separate menu—so you can imagine just how much she loves them. Sadly, her corgi-dachshund mix named Vulcan recently passed away at Windsor Castle, where the Queen and Prince Philip have been staying during the pandemic. Vulcan was one of the four royal dogs that was immortalized in the Queen's portraits taken for her 90th birthday by the famous Annie Leibovitz.
