Not many people know its origins, but Carnival is actually a festival of Western Christianity that takes place before the liturgical season of Lent.
Carnival is one of the most popular parties in the world, where people wear costumes, dance, play, sing, and party on the streets. This year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, all major parties were canceled. In some countries, online festivities took place, hoping that in 2022 all the street parties will be back.
