Peel garlic quicker -

Microwave a garlic bulb for about 15-20 seconds. The steam will make the skin detach from the cloves, so it will be much easier to peel.

Stop crying while slicing onions -

Forget about soaking beans overnight. Add three cups of water for every cup of dry beans. Microwave until boiling (should take around 12-15 minutes). Let the beans sit for one hour.
