Emergency crews rushed to the remote crash site, where photos showed carriages lying on their sides. Rescue workers were seen climbing atop the wreckage to help passengers. Officials said approximately 100 people were on board when at least two train cars left the tracks.

The cause of the derailment remains under investigation, and the total number of injuries has yet to be confirmed. Both federal and local police are involved in the inquiry, as cleanup and recovery efforts continue.
