This November 7, North Korea launched a suspected short-range ballistic missile from its northwest region near the Chinese border. The projectile traveled about 700 km (around 435 miles) toward the sea off its east coast, falling outside Japanese waters, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. While no damage was reported, the launch comes amid recent regional weapons tests and stalled diplomacy.
