On June 27, thousands of Norwegians mistakenly believed they had won millions after a state-run lottery app displayed inflated prize amounts. The error, caused by a currency conversion glitch, showed winnings 100 times higher than they actually were. Norsk Tipping, the gambling company behind the mistake, apologized and confirmed no incorrect payouts were made. Its CEO resigned the following day.
