Named after the Roman god of war, Mars, and originally the first month of the year in the Roman calendar, March brings a lot of fresh astrological energy: it's a month known for its mayhem! It ushers in the spring equinox and a return to light and vitality in the Northern Hemisphere as we edge closer towards summer. Also known as Ostara, this equinox time of year is associated with the fertility goddess of the same name, whose sacred animal was a hare. Astrologically, we kick off a new eclipse season and see the sun move into firestarter Aries, and with all planets direct, we can expect plenty of energy of movement.
