On September 1, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets in Israel to protest against the government. Protesters rallied in cities such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in support of the hostages kidnapped during the October 7 attack, amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The massive protests swept across the country after six hostages were killed. The bodies of Ori Danino, Carmel Gat, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, and Almog Sarusi were found underground in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip.
