On July 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump that he was nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize, as the leaders met at the White House to discuss a ceasefire in Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. This is the second time Trump has been nominated for the award, as last month Pakistan recommended him for the prize as well.
Once the meeting began, Netanyahu presented Trump with a letter he had sent to a committee for the Nobel Peace Prize, commending Trump’s efforts to put a stop to conflicts in the Middle East.
Indeed, both high-end officials and members of the general public alike may be nominated for a Nobel Prize for their efforts to help humanity. The Nobel Prize is awarded in five main categories every year for contributions in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and peace.
