According to a report published in The Lancet medical journal on June 30, President Donald Trump’s decision to cut USAID funding could result in over 14 million deaths by 2030.

The researchers also predict that children would be affected significantly, making up a third of those vulnerable to premature death.

Back in March, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the Trump administration had canceled more than 80% of programs at the United States Agency for International Development. Indeed, the USAID funding cuts are considered one of the most controversial measures implemented by President Trump.
