Nearly 50 people were injured after a car drove into a crowd of Liverpool fans during the Premier League title parade on the evening of May 27, in Liverpool, England. Merseyside Police arrested a 53-year-old British man believed to be the driver. Authorities said the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
The crash occurred on Water Street shortly after the team’s celebrations ended. Among the 47 injured were four children. In total, 27 people were taken to hospital. Two victims, including one child, suffered serious injuries.
