Recent reports suggest that an elite US Army unit, capable of

insertions and extractions of some of the nation's deadliest and most accomplished special forces operators, has been deployed to the Caribbean. The unit in question is the secretive 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), otherwise known as the "Night Stalkers." Feared and revered in equal measure, this specialist helicopter regiment has taken part in some of the most dangerous missions in recent US history. But who exactly are the Night Stalkers, why are they named as such, and where have they seen action?
