'Rust' -

Tragically, on the set of Alec Baldwin's film, 'Rust', on October 21, 2021, a woman died and a man was injured after Baldwin reportedly discharged a prop gun during filming. The woman has been identified as Halyna Hutchins, a 42-year-old cinematographer. She was flown to the hospital by helicopter but died of her injuries. A spokesperson for Baldwin said that it was an accident involving the misfiring of a prop gun with blanks.

'The Crow' - Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, played the titular star in 'The Crow.' Months before the film's release, he was shot by a prop gun and died.

'Blade Runner 2049' - Back in 2016, an unidentified construction worker was killed when deconstructing a film set. The incident took place in Budapest, Hungary.

'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' - An unnamed worker was killed when deconstructing a set in New Orleans, Louisiana. He died after falling off a scissor lift on set.

'Pleasantville' - After working a 19-hour work day on set, cameraman Brent Hershman fell asleep at the wheel and died. Although it didn't happen on set, the incident caused an uproar against film studios.

'Across the Border' - This was one of the first film-related fatalities. Grace McHugh was filming in a boat, which then capsized. Camera operator Owen Carter jumped to save her, but dragged her on to quicksand. The rest of the crew watched as they were consumed by the quicksand.
