Famous movies and TV shows stopped by real-life tragedy
'Spider-Man', 'Bird Box' and 'Phone Booth' are examples of releases postponed due to the 9/11 attacks
© NL Beeld
TV shows and movies often take real-life stories and make them cinematic. However, sometimes our favorite shows and movies accidentally imitate events, with big consequences. Take 'The Hunt,' a new satire in which liberals and conservatives engage in a violent competition. The recent mass shootings in the US have caused producers to halt marketing of the film, at least until the national conversation calms down. This has happened time and time again, with major movies like 'Spider-Man' and 'Bird Box' swapping out scenes that reference real-life tragedy. Click on to learn more, and read up on the shows and movies that hit just a little too close to home.
