Britain and Gibraltar have reached a final agreement regarding the handover of Gibraltar's border to Europe. Gibraltar is set to become an associate member of the EU’s passport-free Schengen area.
According to media, the presence of UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy at a meeting in Brussels was a sign that the deal was finalized at last. Britons who are traveling to the "Rock" will now be required to show their passports to EU border guards once they arrive at the airport.
