The singer bought a US$7 million mansion in London but later discovered that it was haunted, People magazine reported.
The late model said in 2004 that she had had an intimate encounter with a ghost.

Octavia Spencer revealed on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' in December 2021 that she’s been living with the ghost of an old film star who did Westerns, but thankfully her ghost is more friendly than spooky. “My ghost can haunt me, but he doesn’t haunt me," she said. "We have boundaries." In fact, Spencer says the ghost has been very useful. "I love him because he kind of sorts out the bad people that shouldn’t be there. He runs them out. If they stay at my place, they don’t wanna come back. And that’s how I know that they don’t belong here. If you’re a person that belongs there, everybody is like, ‘Oh, your place is so welcoming. She claims that she woke up in the middle of the night after she felt a gentle touch run down her body, and saw a woman standing at the end of her bed. "So, full disclosure, I never actually slept with a ghost. But she did wake me up in a very sensual way," she explained.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to rid her San Francisco townhouse of evil spirits after the brutal attack on her husband Paul in October which had left him hospitalized. In a joint interview with The New York Times, Nancy's daughter Alexandra revealed that her mother called priests over to perform an exorcism on the house in the wake of the vicious attack where Paul was bludgeoned by a hammer-wielding assailant who broke into their home. “I think that weighed really heavy on her soul," Alexandra told the outlet. "I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her." She added of the attack, which was originally intended for Nancy, "We were always worried. It’s like your worst fear coming to life.”
While Nancy didn't speak on the exorcism herself, she did find it reprehensible that Republicans mocked the attack and spread baseless conspiracies while her husband was in critical condition. “This has been tough. It’s going to be about three or four more months before he’s really back to normal,” she said.

Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt both lived in the Playboy Mansion alongside Hugh Hefner in the early 2000s, and have since revealed that they both had paranormal experiences while living there. Marquardt described seeing a ghostly woman in a white t-shirt and acid-wash jeans standing in a doorway. She believes it was the ghost of a woman named Joanie who used to work at the mansion, helping the guests look after their pets. Joanie had died of cancer years earlier, but Marquardt believed she was there to check on a new pet. Madison once saw a woman walk through the basement gym, but when she followed her she realized the figure had entered a closet and disappeared.
